If you are moving within a 100-mile radius and within the same state or within city limit, it is considered a local move. Many of the factors that determine the cost of a local move are within your control. If you have everything ready when the movers arrive and have all your belongings packed in boxes, then the local move will be much cheaper. Other factors that determine the price are: How close the moving truck may park to your home, difficult to move items, packing, unpacking and furniture placement. The cost is also based on the number of movers you require, the number of hours it takes to move, and the travel time from the old to new residence. Also you can ask for binding free estimate - an estimator from the company will come to your house which will list the items that u need to move and will provide u with flat rate price. Please double check the items list because once the item list will be signed you will not allowed to add extra (unless you will pay for it)
